Are you interested in working with individuals who are striving to spread the ideas of liberty? IHS is looking for part-time and full-time interns for fall 2009. Fall internships begin on Monday, August 31, 2009 and run through Friday, December 18, 2009 (dates are negotiable).
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
- A basic understanding of and interest in the ideas of liberty
- Self-motivation and willingness to ask questions
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn basic software quickly
The Institute for Humane Studies Internship Program places interns in all departments within our organization. Participants in our program receive:
- $10/hour worked
- Free books and other publications on economics, history, philosophy, and more.
- Networking opportunities with liberty-friendly individuals and organizations in the DC area
IHS accept interns of all ages and experience levels, and international applicants with a visa status that allows employment in the U.S. are eligible.

The Institute for Humane Studies, founded in 1961, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational organization that promotes the study of economic and individual freedom across a broad range of academic and professional disciplines.
