Applications are now open for the 2012-2013 SFL Executive Board. The SFL Executive Board is the principal entity that drives SFL as an organization. The Executive Board is in charge of SFL’s strategic decisions and carrying out the majority of SFL’s projects and activities. SFL’s rapid growth and success has been due primarily to the dedication, passion, and hard work of the Executive Board. Selection to the SFL Executive Board is highly competitive.  It is not an award/reward for prior work.  Participation in the Executive Board is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the world, which carries significant responsibilities.

The Executive Board requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and involves both collaborative group efforts with leaders thousands of miles away as well as individual work to complete projects and prepare events with little supervision. This application is for the 2012-2013 Executive Board. Decisions will be announced at the 2012 International SFL Conference in February, 2012. From February through June, new Exec Board members will go through a rigorous training process including monthly readings and webinars to prepare for their new positions. This training will culminate in the 2011 Leadership Retreat from May 27 – June 2, 2012 (which all new Executive Board members are required to attend). After completing this training, the new Executive Board term will begin on July 1, 2012. To learn more about the SFL Executive Board and the qualifications for the position, click here.
