Institute for Humane Studies
Free Summer Seminars
Description: Discuss the past, present, and future of liberty all day and late into the night at a seminar sponsored by the Institute for Humane Studies. Choose from more than 10 weeklong, interdisciplinary seminars covering topics such as public policy, advancing liberty in academia, and morality and capitalism from the libertarian perspective. From breakfast ‘til the evening reception, you can debate and discuss the ideas of liberty with enthusiastic professors and peers from around the world.
Good news for your wallet: IHS covers, meals and program costs; participants only pay for travel. Undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates are eligible to apply.

PorcFest
Description: PorcFest is an annual event hosted by the Free State Project at the Rodgers Campground in Lancaster, NH. The event has become a rallying point for libertarians of all varieties. PorcFest is intended to showcase the ideas of the Free State Project community in a relaxed, social, and fun atmosphere.

FreedomFest
Description: FreedomFest is an annual festival where “free minds meet” to celebrate great books, great ideas, and great thinkers in an open-minded society. With speakers such as John Mackey, Steve Forbes, and Judge Napolitano, the conference is packed with leaders of liberty speaking to inspire and educate attendees. Located in Las Vegas, NV, the conference is held in one of the most pro-liberty cities in the US.

Objectivist Summer Conference (OCON)
Description: Objectivist Conferences is the premier venue for high-caliber presentations by Objectivist scholars, and that is what OCON brings you this year as Leonard Peikoff presents “The DIM Hypothesis” (part 2), the six-part sequel to the groundbreaking series of lectures that he delivered to the conference attendees in 2007. This year’s conference offers eleven general session lectures, sixteen optional courses and a variety of social activities and special events.

Foundation for Individual Rights in Education
Campus Freedom Network Conference
Description: The Campus Freedom Network Conference brings together committed students from across the country to learn from eminent First Amendment scholars and meet fellow advocates for free speech on campus. Attendees will hear from distinguished keynote speakers, a panel of students involved in previous FIRE cases, and FIRE staff about the philosophical and legal arguments for First Amendment rights on campus and how they can improve the culture of free speech at their schools.

“The Challenge of Liberty” Summer Seminars
Description: The Challenge of Liberty summer seminars help high-school and college students better understand real-world issues they will encounter throughout life. The Independent Institute’s five-day series of lectures, readings, films, multimedia presentations, and small group discussion teaches students what economics is, how it affects their lives, and how understanding it can help them achieve better lives for themselves, their communities, and the world at large.
