Susquehanna International Group of Companies (SIG)
Assistant Trader Internship Program
Summer 2011

The Assistant Trader Internship Program is the primary source for full-time hiring of trading positions at SIG. The goal of this 10-week summer program is to expose you to the working environment that you can expect if you return to SIG as a full-time Assistant Trader. Each intern is assigned to a specific trading team. As part of the team, you will learn how to assist the traders on that desk throughout the day. You will quickly discover what it takes to multi-task in the fast-paced trading environment while completing valuable project work for the team.
Technology Internship Program
Summer 2011

SIG’s Technology Internship Program will immerse you in real work with real impact right from the start. You won’t be running errands or making photocopies during your 10 weeks with us. Instead, you may start out the day writing C# .NET code that a trader will use before the financial markets close that afternoon. Or you may work with senior engineers on a project aimed at making SIG’s trading systems faster. Regardless of what team you work in, you become an important contributor over the summer months and help solve business problems. Technology interns typically work in one of the following areas: software development, systems engineering, network engineering, and information security.
Assistant Trader Program
9-18 Month Program

The typical day of an Assistant Trader is split between the trading floor and the classroom. During market hours, you will work with your assigned trading teams and learn how the traders are approaching decisions and assessing risk. After the close, you will participate in mock trading and game theory classes several days a week. It takes most assistant traders 9 — 18 months to complete the program. When you are ready to start trading, you will go through an additional full-time, 10-week program called the Market Maker Class.
Technology Associate Program
6-12 Month Program

SIG often describe themselves as a technology firm that happens to trade. SIG’s dynamic trading environment is a perfect fit for skilled technologists, allowing them to apply their passion for technology and see the immediate impact of their work. Beginning on your first day at SIG, you participate in a six-month program that includes technology and finance classes taught by senior technologists, traders, and in-house subject matter experts; two rotations with different technology teams; a visit to the New York Stock Exchange; and a team project you complete with fellow TAs.
GOLD Program
10-month Program

The Global Organizational Leadership Development (GOLD) Program is SIG’s operations rotational program, offering a unique and broad learning experience. Throughout the 10-month program, you’ll gain in-depth exposure to the trading desks and various business areas at SIG. You’ll work alongside experts in their respective areas, getting involved in the daily activities and gaining hands-on practical experience. You will build relationships and a network of colleagues throughout the firm, which will be an invaluable resource throughout your career.
