Affiliation

In an effort to formalize SFL’s relationship with campus organizations and more easily provide support for students and student organizations dedicated to liberty, SFL has begun to offer an affiliation process. By affiliating with SFL, student organizations decrease the transaction costs of working with SFL to more effectively take advantage of the many resources SFL offers. Affiliating with SFL does not preclude affiliating with other organizations (unless it is with an organization whose values contradict those of SFL’s, such as the International Socialist Organization). And the requirements for affiliating with SFL are minimal. The purpose is to better increase communication between groups and the national organization to advance the cause of liberty on campus in ways not yet seen. SFL Affiliation Requirements:

  1. Affiliated student groups must have a mission statement and hold events that represent principles aligned with SFL’s according to SFL’s Principles of Liberty.
  2. Student groups must submit a Strategic Action Plan at the start of each semester. (More information on Strategic Action Plans coming soon. Completion of the Affiliation Form will include details required by the Strategic Action Plan.)
  3. Student groups agree to complete an end of the year report, which includes contact information for next year’s leadership, and success measurements to evaluate SFL’s performance and better evaluate how to help your organization.
