About 400 taxpayers marched in Serbia June 8 to demand a lower tax rate and express concern for the Serbian government’s spending budget.  The current corporate tax rate in Serbia is 18 percent while the consumption tax rate, or Value Added Tax, is about 20 percent.  The event was hosted by  Libek, a Serbia-based libertarian organization dedicated to promoting free-markets, public sector reform, and government transparency.The organization recently started Citizens For Prosperity, a local grassroots network that hopes to influence these issues and plans to host other marches in the future.  Below is a video Libek made of the protest:
