ESFL is announcing its first Art Prize! Exercise your freedom of expression and creativity with the chance to win valuable books, and a free ticket to this year’s libertarian student event of the year in the UK, the Liberty League Freedom Forum 2012.

The title of this year’s Art Prize is “What does Freedom look like?”

For the chance to win, submit an image by 23:59 GMT on Thursday March 22nd. All submissions should be emailed to ahowes@studentsforliberty.org.

The artwork can be in absolutely any medium other than film. So that includes drawings, paintings, photographs, sculpture, craft-work, fashion, you name it (all except film). The broad scope of the competition’s title should get your creative juices pumping.

The winner will be sent copies of 5 books by Jesus Huerta de Soto, as well as a free ticket to the Liberty League Freedom Forum 2012, the UK’s go-to event for young libertarians and classical liberals. The winning submission will also be next year’s Art Prize’s promotional artwork, so it could potentially be viewed by tens of thousands of people online.

Two runners-up will all be given free tickets to the Liberty League Freedom Forum 2012, and the chance to have their artwork (or images of it) displayed at the Freedom Forum, to be viewed by the 150-200 expected activists.

The promotional artwork for the ESFL Art Prize was done by Axel Bernard, an artist from the UK. You can see more of his fantastic work by clicking here. Can you do better than him and create next year’s promotional work? If so, make sure you pick up your pencils and brushes and put them to canvas immediately.
