Bio: Grant Babcock graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 with a BA in physics, a BS in philosophy, and minors in economics and computer science. As an undergrad, Grant restarted a chapter of College Libertarians from scratch and had an exciting tenure as President that included the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh. Since graduating he has been attending George Washington University where he is pursuing a Master of Art in Public Policy with a concentration in Philosophy and Social Policy, and working at the Competitive Enterprise Institute doing youth outreach. Since catching the liberty bug in the ‘08 election season, Grant has developed interests in Austrian economics and Rothbardian ethics. In his academic work, he studies criticisms of social contract theory and applies libertarian ethics to real-world problems.

Grant is excited to join the Alumni For Liberty board this year to help integrate campus activism efforts with the growing network of SFL alumni.

On Alumni For Liberty: “Building a thriving base of alumni support is essential to the long-term health of the liberty student movement, and thereby the liberty movement generally. Alumni For Liberty is laying the groundwork for the next twenty, thirty years of growth and I am ecstatic to be able to help.”
