Name: Jared Fuller
Position: Southern Director
Email: jfuller@studentsforliberty.org
Bio: Steadfast to his personal motto of “It’s my life, and I’m using it to create liberty,” Jared is one predicated on the principles of a free society. Jared obtained his AA in liberal arts from San Juan College in New Mexico and is currently a junior at Wake Forest University where he is pursuing a double-major in political-science and philosophy—specializing in political theory. Jared has always considered himself libertarian in philosophy, but it was not until his sophomore year in high-school that he began his serious study into the field of liberty. Active in the Ron Paul campaign for the 2008 presidential bid, Jared found out that the libertarian philosophy will never take hold unless the message spreads. He has since put forth the majority of his time and energy into spreading the message of libertarianism.
Jared is the Founder & President of the Wake Forest chapter of Young Americans for Liberty and is also State Chairman to the organization. He hopes to use his knowledge to further the message effectively in any way he can.
Favorite Figures in Liberty: Murray Rothbard, Ludwig von Mises, Ayn Rand, Ron Paul
On Students for Liberty: “Without organizations such as SFL, there would not be a vast rise in the number of people who believe in the philosophy of liberty. The message of freedom is not only becoming popular, it is bringing people together. SFL brings freedom lovers together in order to facilitate not only lively political dialogue, but also spread that message through academia and the general public. The youth have been essential to any philosophy’s strength and SFL will be paramount to the future of libertarianism amongst the youth to propel the message forward.”
