Bio: Carlo Ludovico Cordasco began studying Classical Liberalism and Libertarianism when he was 16 years old after reading Human Action by Ludwig Von Mises. He is studying Political Philosophy at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and at University of Pisa. He is a scholar of Raimondo Cubeddu and his research interests are mainly focused on Friedrich Von Hayek, Leo Strauss, relationships between Christianity and Classical Liberalism, and Institutional Changes. He edited the latest book of Antonio Martino (Milton Friedman’s scholar, member of Italian Parliament and Ex Italian Minister of Defense) “Liberalismo Quotidiano”, and is finishing editing another book by Martino, “Cronache economiche di un trentennio.”

Carlo is finishing his first scientific book on Hayek’s political philosophy. He is currently a research fellow of the Tocqueville-Acton Institute. He is also a free lance journalist and is writing for several Italian national newspapers.  Carlo cannot imagine his life without an academic career and scientific research in Political Philosophy.

Carlo is the founder and Executive Director of the Italian Students For Individual Liberty (ISFIL).  He also helped found the Italian Hayek Association.

Carlo loves Billy Wilder and Woody Allen comedies, contemporary paintings, Persian carpets, cooking, skiing, watching soccer (he is a huge Juventus and Del Piero fan), playing golf and jazz piano, and tasting Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Favorite Figures in Liberty: Friedrich Von Hayek, Bruno Leoni, James Buchanan, Douglass North and, not just ‘in liberty’…Leo Strauss.
